Stina is a 23 year old Danish athlete who has competed at both 400m Hurdles and 800m for her nation Denmark. Last year she compete in the 400m Hurdles for Denmark at the Rio Olympics. She tends to specialise in the 400m Hurdles in the Outdoor season and 800m in the Indoor season. She has a few Youth level medals but no senior ones as yet

Erica is a Swedish Field athlete specialising in Long Jump. Her best career result is a Bronze in the 2013 European Indoor games held in her native Sweden. She has qualified for a number of International finals, but at 30, her career may have peaked.

Top 25 of 2016: #2 Dafne Schippers

Dutch Sprinter Dafne is second place in this years top list. A fall of one place from 2015 when she was 1st on the Top 25. She was also second in 2014 so has finished in the top 2 every year we have run this Top 25 list. Despite a huge level of expectation going into the Olympics after her 2015 World Championships performance, Dafne only came out with a Silver in the 200m and finished down in fifth in the 100m Sprint. She has always been a hugely popular page on HWiS, as evidenced by her consistently high finishes in the Top 25. She first featured on the site in August 2014.

Top 25 of 2016: #21 Ivet lalova

at 21st comes Bulgarian Sprinter Ivet Lalova. With immense site popularity she has shot up the rankings this year despite modest track success. Now 32, she won two medals this year at the European Champions with two Silvers. At the Olympics she reached the Semi-Finals but pulled out before the event. She then reached the 200m final before finishing in eigth place. Ivet has reached the Top 25 for the first time despite first appearing on the site in June 2014
